Timberlake was the dream of Sam Miller, born from a dream that started in 1940, on a farm off of Lambert Road on the banks of Hellbranch Creek in southern Franklin County, Ohio.

The area was rolling pasture land, dotted with large oak trees and farm land. Although not an engineer, Sam designed and worked the land to construct and mold the landscape to develop his dream for a retirement community.

Over the years Timberlake has grown, and like others, has changed to meet the needs of the community. From the early beginnings in 1959 much has been added, ponds, streets, homes, and utilities.

Timberlake, located about 15 miles south of Columbus, Ohio has all of the trappings of suburban life, yet with that country feel.

Timberlake is governed by the Timberlake Owners Association.

Use of the ponds in the Timberlake community is limited to residents of our community and their guests. Resident must be present with guest at all times.
